Cotoneaster pannosus

I had seen two small plants (see Photos 2 and 3) along one trail that never seemed to do much of anything. Just leaves with fuzzy edges. Quite a while later, in the opposite side of the park, I came across a bush filled with red berries. But it wasn't toyon. When I looked at my photos at home, I saw that the leaves matched the other two bushes. And with the berries to help out, I was able to identify all of them as Woolly Cotoneaster.




In the summer of 2014, this bush was about 3-4 feet high.


In the sumer of 2018, the bush's height had probably doubled.
